Rebranding of FastReport Studio Report Generator: New Names, New Capabilities
Fast Reports has announced the rebranding of FastReport Studio, a popular report generating solution, and the release of FastReport for COM/ActiveX 4.9.
KRASNOYARSK, RUSSIA, July 22, 2011 /Computer PR News/ -- The rebranding of the report generator FastReport Studio involves the change of version names - the new names are meant to describe version targets more accurately, thus preventing confusion. Starting from version 4.9 FastReport Studio Developer Edition is named FastReport for COM/ActiveX, and FastReport Studio Business Edition - FastReport for Business.
As for FastReport for COM/ActiveX 4.9, it offers a good number of new features. For instance, it now supports PNG image format with all its advantages (quality, alpha-channels, file size in BIFF and HTML). Besides, PNG support solves preview problems, which previously occurred on Apple devices. In addition to this, merging of cells in BIFF format has been optimized by popular demand: merging speed has increased, and the size of the resulted file has become smaller.
Among other new features there is support of DBF export format, which has been added because modules of various business applications need it for data exchange. A new property ExpandDrillDown has been also added to IfrxReport interface - it allows to control DrillDown reports programmatically.
