Juan R. Lopez manages IT applications and contract management systems for the United States Air Force Contracting
THE PENTAGON, WASHINGTON, D.C., August 30, 2010 /Computer PR News/ -- Juan R. Lopez, Deputy Chief of Contracting Business Systems for Air Force Contracting, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Air Force contracting.
Specialized in contract management systems, Juan R. Lopez' latest position augments his 24 years of experience in the information technology and contracting industries. Now entering his 24th year with Air Force Contracting, he holds the position of Deputy Chief of Contracting Business Systems - a charge that requires he manage IT applications as they relate to military business contracting. He is responsible for purchasing and providing guidance and instruction on various contracting products, as well as ensuring efficient and effective communication between USAF departments.
In a candid interview with a representative from Cambridge Who's Who, Mr. Lopez communicated that an interest in IT services inspired him to become involved in his profession. He attributes his success to the support of his family and looks forward to attaining a senior executive position within the Air Force in the coming years.
Mr. Lopez holds a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College, earned in 2003 and a master's degree in education from the University of the Incarnate Word, earned in 1989. He also earned a bachelor's degree in education in 1983. Mr. Lopez holds a level three certification in contracting, a level two certification in information technology and a level two certification in acquisition. He is a lifetime member of the Air Force Association and the Naval War College Foundation.
